- Food and Entertainment for the Gathering. The Dessert Gathering will be a time for people coming together to mingle and share the experience of the U2Charist. Guests will have the opportunity to meet our speaker Peter Kithene, and learn about the MDG related outreach of the deanery churches. This team will coordinate what each deanery church will provide for the “small bite” desserts and beverages to be offered at the Dessert Gathering.
- Table Displays for the Gathering. One of the goals of this event is to provide information about the Episcopal churches in our deanery and the local or international MDG good works in which they participate. Each congregation will be invited to share a table display about a program in their church. This team will make sure that churches sign up for a table and coordinate how they will display their information.
- Welcoming. This team will welcome and connect with our guests whether they are long time church goers, or have never in their life, stepped inside a church.
- Decorations and Signage. This team will make the Church, Hall and outdoor space inviting and lively, and may organize churches to make banners for the procession.
- Education. This team will make sure each deanery church is displaying the table top U2Charist tri-fold after each service in the weeks leading up to the U2Charist. They will also make sure that there are enough printed invitations to the event and MDG information cards to pass out to parishioners. They also may have a table of general MDG information at the Dessert Gathering.
